How to Literally Wire a Sub.

Taking something to a shop isn't a bad thing, as long as you learn from it. I made them run the first run of 0ga in my buick just so they could mess with finding the hole in firewall, after they did it, I came home and followed it through the wall to figure out where they went through at.

Have them wire it, then take it out the box and voila, you've learned something.

if you can't wire up a sub you have no business even trying, take it to a shop since this seems over your head.
How is it over my head. I sort of knew how to do it, I just wanted reassurance. What's wrong with double checking. Obviously you put the wire in the terminal, I just wanted to ask how to do it. If it makes you that upset then don't post here.

I'm glad you posted this question. I know a good number of people will come back with a remark to try to show the world how smart they are and just how dumb you must be. Everyone was once in your spot and I think its nice for people to lay it out in the easiest terms on how to connect the sub. This is after all a how-to forum. Although it usually turns out to be who has the largest testies or the highest IQ :p

I can see his confusion though. The diagrahms shows the wire connected into a wire, not at the coil itself. It can be confusing if you have never done it.

I'm sorry but I was never in the same spot. It doesn't mean I'm smarter or have bigger balls either. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

What it means is that I went out and played with stuff and figured things out on my own.

Best way to learn

yep, questions, and doubts should be there but when it comes to something like this you can figure it out without burning your car down. Only a couple different ways to do it, get a DMM and make sure it reads 1ohm. That's what DIY is all about

I was asking how you literally did it.

I am not hacking on you young man, but, Have you never used wire to connect anything???? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif ... LOOK in the Terminal Cup.. see how deep it is? strip your wire back that far. You LITERALLY need to explain yourself better... matter of fact, I agree, maybe you should take it to the shop and let them do it for you. It's just stripping insulation off a wire, sparky! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif
