How to Keep voltage around 14.4

Back to the battery and alt thing, cuz I was doing other stuff.

You don't need more batteries if you have a bigger alternator.

However, it is better to have a big alternator if you want a lot of batteries. 5 group 31's would be too much strain on an average stock alternator.

Sorry I was a bit late to comment on this

YOLO is right sir (although i now hate you for saying that) but yes in order to play with the big pays you have to pay the price which is an empty wallet, no back seats, no rear visibility, and crappy mileage //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/satan.gif.9c6a335ed7aeeed3ee273e573f1fcaac.gif

I'm trying to do 15's next summer, so I may have to give up a bit of rear view visibility. And what's this backseat you speak of?

Thanks bro. It's what I wanted from the start, took 3 years, almost got a divorce, and I'm broke but it's all good.
I'm on my way there, my gf is about to leave me because i talk more to people on this forum than i do to her and my dad is going to give me the boot from the house because i spend so much money on "useless dumbs hit" I'm 21 and they say i should be saving up for a house instead of spending money on my truck. they are crazy!

I feel ya haha. My dad doesn't see the need for me to add an HO alternator since what I have now satisfies me. I need more power! Luckily he's agreed to help me install it.

And any money we save now isn't going to see a house...

you can keep from dropping too much with enough batteries. However, upgrading your alternator helps recharge the batteries as fast as possible.

For my AQ3500 that I ran in my sig (granted at .25ohm and rose to under 1ohm), I had a 270amp alternator, a batcap 8400 and a g34 yellow top under the hood. Also had an XS Power Module to regulate voltage. Charged at 15.2v, dropped to mid to upper 14s on demos full tilt.

And my MPG was about 9-10mpg

I'm 20 and I make min wage and the 800$ i make a month goes to my phone bill my truck payment and car audio... I sort of feel like I should be trying to get my **** together but I'm only 20 and it'll come soon enough... I wash all the clothes and do all the dishes for my gmaw who I live with and I take care of her dogs when she goes on trips so its kind of even... She doesn't give me much **** about moving out though I think that's just a parent thing not a gmaw thing lol :p.

I'm 16. I make $9 an hour at a horse stable doing odd jobs. I used to work two jobs, and I will be searching for another one soon. I bought a cheap car that was in good condition, so I had lots of money for audio. All my money goes towards that, lol.

Sounds like that truck payment sux

Hmm you've had better luck than me... How it went down is my grandma bought me a truck and now I'm paying her back. To be honest she doesn't care if I pay her back or not, it's just me being responsible... I give her anything between 100$ to 600$ a month (recently its been less due to audio addiction).

Keep up the work ethic.

If my parents EVER found out what my system has cost me i homestly think they would burn it all to tech me a lesson. They probably tink ive apent $500 on it....maybe on my sub alone //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i have a $600 car payment, nearly 2k mortgage and i still spend all my money on audio //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

and yes, batcap 8400 is the best batt you can buy imo.
