I have this DVD flip out single din head unit (AVHP5700DVD) and would like to hook up Pioneers ipod adapter seen here.

I didn't do any of the original install and have no clue about car audio. It looks pretty easy so i thought i would try it.

my question is that this thing needs a power wire and a ground wire. Can i just use the same ground and power wire that my radio uses? Also do i need any special tools? just clippers and some duck tape right?

thanks guys

Yeah, just run the thick black cable to the back of your screen. Their should be a input for it. For the power and ground, yeah, you can just connect them to where ever you connect your cd player too. That thing dosent draw alot of power. If you have some electrical tape, I would use that instead of duck tape. Can you solder?

I wish i had a soldering gun. I have seen people use that and it looks like the connection is a lot better
