1/0AWG to a d-block to 8 AWG problems?

im upgrading my power wire to 1/0, but have two amps. so im using a distribution block. im going to hvae the 1/0 from my battery to the d block, and was wondering if it would be ok to run 8 guage out of the block to my two amps one is a kenwood 900 watt RMS other is an 2 chan alpine for my speakers. i wanted to know if this would cause any problems. or if im ok to do it this way.

900rms? Why not just run 4 gauge from the block to the amps?

1/0 power to a distro block, 8 gauge to amps.
8 gauge grounds are just fine.

Fuse accordingly.

If you don't plan on upgrading, 4 gauge is sufficient for your setup.
alright, thanks. ya i went ahead with 1/0 gauge because i plan on upgrading and would rather do it one time. the kit comes with a 250a fuse for the 1/0 so thats fine?

If your running 1/0 gauge to the distro block, it will all become useless if you go with an 8gauge ground. Buy an extra few feet of 1/0 and ground it right.
i have enough of 1/0 gauge, its that im running two amps, so i need to run it to a d block and the d block does not accept 1/0 as the output. it accepts 4 or 8 gauge outputs.
