how to increase voltage?

if your planning on doing this then im taking it that money is of no issue. might want to think about doing big 3 with a ho alt and then covert to ac then back to dc 16v.

Anyways, can I ask why are you wanting to do 16v? You might be going in the wrong direction.

my amp is modded to run at 16v. i bought it off CRX90. its a mtx 1501d.

do all ho alts charge 18.5v?

and would i need a special battery?

my electrical is all stock atm

and im plannin on buying jbizzle's fi q 15s

speaking of which, one is blown, would i have to send it to fi for a recone or are there people that could do it for me on here

i have no experience reconing so it would prolly be a bad idea for me to do it, unless its relatively easy

First option. Buy a high amp alt that can be externally regulated then buy a voltage stepdown module so you can run your factory computer system and soo on. Then its on to buy batteries. You can go with the cheap way buy 8 volts wired them in series or go big and get 16 volt batteries. Power master kinetik so on.

Secound option. Run a fully seperate alternator. Strickly for 16volt setup then same with batteries in option 1. So that be two alts. One for vehicle computer system and Secound for audio system.

Given that you say you have a mtx amp. I have to ask why you want to go 16 volts anyways. Might not really see a whole lot more power than on a 12volt setup. And are you going for any world records and SOOO on. If not its not worth the time and extra money for really in my opinion nothin at all gained.

Get a TRU SSLD6. $300, and that will certainly strengthen the signal to your amps.
A Rca signal line driver. I dont get what does that have to do with the topic at hand.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
