How to hook up two amps on a stock deck?

My buddy has a 02 ford explorer with a stock deck. He already has one set of rca cables hooked up to the deck. He has an mtx 5 channel amp and is looking to up grade to a single amp for his subs and a amp for his mids and hi's. My question is how can we put another another amp in if he has one set of rca cables. He was going to take it to a audio shop but there are none were we are stationed. Thanks for your advice

Or the other way around. Most decent amps have a pass through and some even have a crossover on that pass through so you don't need one on the other amp.
Im sure it does its an MTX THUNDER 5 channel amp. So what your saying is just buy another set of rca cables and just run them out them of the other amp output

yup, or you can buy a Y adapter to turn the one run of RCA's into two. But I would run them through the amp if it was me.
