Found an old reciever in garage and decided to test it out, but i've ran across some strange speaker hookups... they're like rcas or something, how do i go about hooking up speakers to em lol. I can't seem to find a way to hook up a cd player to it as well, besides using a tape converter, any ideas?

You have to wire the speakers up with RCA plugs on the end.

+ is the center pin, - is the outside ground.

Regular speaker wire already setup like that used to be found at Radio Shack, or you can just by screw together RCA plugs there to do it if they no longer sell the wire premade.

i have a reciever similar to that but it plays tape and records. on mine the speakers have rca plugs that hook to the reciever. i just ran some rca's from where it says "speakers" to the aux on my regular reciever. i have no idea if that helps.

alright the hackings starting, thx for info. Does there happen to be any input type sources on this thing for hookin up a cd player? Theres 4 sets of rca things with diff labels but are they all just for speakers?

The one labeled "CER PH/AUX" should be a standard auxilary input you can use for a CD player.

The other one to its left is strictly for a magnetic phono cartridge turntable.
