How to hook sub up to amp properly?

First off I know how to wire a sub but I'm lost as I'm going to be building my first box this fall and am wondering how to physically connect the woofer to the amp. It's a single woofer in a box and I'm using KnuKonceptz 8 gauge power wire as my speaker wire.

So what's the best way? One of those terminals or an alumimum bolt through the box? I really want to avoid running wires in/out through the port. I have 5/8 inch ring terminals for my speaker wire.

Use the bolts and some washers. Clean look and won't leak.
So just some aluminum bolts that will fit my 5/8 ring terminals and some washers? Run the wires inside the box to the bolt, secure and do the same on the outside?

Yup. If you can, get some copper bolts (or even brass) and nuts. Just make sure the holes through the box are tight.

Maybe throw some silicone on the bolt when I thread it through the box? That should make it airtight.
