I have read the whole thing, and I still don't believe it. The Old Testament is a bunch of old Jewish fairy tales design to inspire morality. These kinds of tales have been written for thousands of years by millions of people, and nobody else calls them a religion. The new testament is full of contradictions, the most important of which is the fact that it was written by men but claims to be the word of god. Several gospels were edited or omitted because they did not support the goals of the catholic church. Several of the writers ended up changing their mind about the world and wrote new gospels, which were ignored and suppressed. There is a lot of good stuff in the bible, but allowing it to replace free thought is absolutely ridiculous. Only the weak-minded would accept such a book without questions.A lot of people don't want to take the time to read the Bible and think about it. If you do, It can actually makes some sense...
Again, these claims only matter if you believe in the Christian religion, which would mean you are saved already. You can't scare people with threats that aren't credible to them. What kind of god would have to scare people into believing in him anyway? Sounds kind of weak to me.Since He is the King of the universe and the creator of it, He has every right to demand that we serve Him. If you don't want to serve Him, what makes you think He is gonna share the good things with you? He owns it all, therefore you won't have any part of the good things. Next you called me a hipocrite, I would challenge you to tell me why. Third, Jesus isn't an imposter, He is the real deal.
No, I was just under the impression that Dionysus was 100% god in Greek mythology. The only half-god I can think of was Heracles (Hercules if you're talking Roman mythology). I just don't remember anything about being virgin-born, dying, or resurrection. Granted, my knowledge of him only goes as far as knowing that he was the god of wine, drama, and poetry, and his connection to the art world. The Festival of Dionysus was where all the great greek plays started. It is also the source of John Keats' "Ode to a Grecian Urn."yes and his father was the god Zeus. Do you think Zeus was a real person? Either way how could a God have *** with a mortal?
Ive read it. It contains things that are more vulgar and vile than anything disturbing one can find on the internet..anyone who lives their life by that book, I seriously question the sanity of.A lot of people don't want to take the time to read the Bible and think about it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/word.gif.64b12e39f936af3b4fff38a1c0bd0244.gif I find that most bible thumpers have never actually read the thing. They memorize the good old cliche passages and spout them off like they know what they are talking about. No one with a clear head and working brain who has read the bible would structure his life on it.Ive read it. You have the choice to choose Jesus or not, but you must live with the consequences.
Truf. I'd be pissed if if I gave up all human indulgences for a bunch of fictional characters.Ok so what are you going to do if when you die you find out that there is no heavn or hell? Will you be pissed knowing that you wasted your life in a cult that got you no where?
I would too.Truf. I'd be pissed if if I gave up all human indulgences for a bunch of fictional characters.
According to the Bible, they would go to hell because of Original Sin.So my question is what happens to a child that dies at birth where does the child go? They never excepted Jesus as their lord so does that mean they go to hell or is there some exception to it?
