How to get more watts?

Alright I have 4 12" Alpine Type R's dual 4 ohm voice coils. I want to get more power to them, 500-600WRMS. Right now I have them powered by a RF 1501bd. I would like to just be able to get another one and do it that way but I was told then I could only run them at 4 ohms so that defeats adding another 1501bd, unless that person was mistaken. I don't really feel like spending $1000 to get a 2000-2400WRMS 2 ohm stable amp, would be cheaper just to spend the $550 on another 1501bd. Anyone have any suggestions on how to do this?

Well I guess I will just have to get one or a couple of 1 ohm amps then, or get a DEI 2400D and run it at 2 ohms. I was hoping to spend $600 or less though.

I paid $620 for my Viper2500d off Ebay, and I also bought an Ebay 1yr extended warranty which was $60... Very very high quality product. You can probably get an MA Audio amp that suposedly puts out 3000watts+ for around or under $600 on Ebay...
