How to Blow Up a Sub!

Put it in a 60hz ported box.
Point at neighbor's house.

Wall socket till poof.

Replace their windows.
While this is funny.

It doesn't work that way.

The sub would be doing 3 cycles per milisecond (I believe that's what the walls work at) under 120-220 volts.

It wouldn't play a frequency, it'll just move the cone ridiculously fast.

I believe that unless the cone is moving faster than 20,000 Hz and it is ultrasonic the cone would be playing a frequency that is measurable.

Actually its at 60Hz in United states of America, If you live somewhere else you can look it up here http://www.kropla.com/electric2.htm

so a 60 Hz box would be stupid loud on wall current - though SPL does not travel well across open spaces, in a car or a parking garage it would create immense pressure.

Not trying to pick on you , but 3 cycles per millisecond sounds a bit ridiculous.

I'm pretty sure there's a reason its rated at 60hz AC 120v

it varies somewhat and is supposed to always be very close to that (within a few hz)

what is the safest way to blow a sub? you know without messing up electrical or amps etc? i have a 12" w7 with a torn surround. i also have some high powered amps that i can use to blow it. what is a safe way to blow it? thanks. oh and i will later post up a video for all of your viewing pleasure.
wire you + and - to your wall socket. That'll roast the bastard. lol
