lots of decent subs will take that for a while now. Friend left an MA audio Hardcore in the wall socket for about 10 min.... also another friend left a CV. Stroker in there for a while... thing would never have blown...just didnt have anything to try it out with so he wanted to see what it would do.wallsocket
Maybe you should read more before you decide to make an idiotic remark. You CAN blow a sub by underpowering it.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gifFord320 underpowering subs doesnt blow them, dirty power does,if underpowering blows subs then you would blow subs when you turn the volume down.
I desagree...you can blow a sub by clipping due a combination of user error of underpowering(gain too high causing clipping because you want more power)Maybe you should read more before you decide to make an idiotic remark. You CAN blow a sub by underpowering it.
trying to send more power then can literally be put out. ie, setting a gain for 1000 watts when its only a 500w amp.how do you intentionally clip? or i guess what is clipping? (little behind on that term) I think its sending a bad signal...but what does that mean, or how does it happen?
an oscilloscope is the only way to know for sure, but you can use the amp's rated power and calculate vac outputkinda scares me cause my gain is set pretty high, but how do I know if im clipping?
gains are used to match the amp's input to the hu's output....thus setting with a dmmsry im just new to this term as far as understanding exactly what it is... Wouldnt a 500W amp at full gain be the only way to get 500W out of it, or does running more gain on an amp push it above its RMS
