how this for a stock alternator?

well i finally managed to find out

that my stock alternator is 100 amps...

so how good is that???

how big of an amp could i safely run???

100 amps isn't half bad! Much bigger than the small Honda ones... Mine is 105 amps, and I run a 1200 watt amp and a 300 watt amp just fine, although I'm sure the amps never really deliver that much power (due to music being music). You can do all the math you want, but really you just gotta install it and see... In my case, my 1500watts rms of total power is fine, no dimming whatsoever, but YMMV.

i got a 100 amp in my eclipse it ran 4 re 8s with a jl 500/1 and had no draw on it whatsoever however with 1800 watts on a h2 is another story

I had 65 in my civic. My current system killed that and the battery. Now I have a new alt and batt

thats cool then... i have a viper 1200 now running only

one SE at around four hundred watts or so... but i plan

to get a XXX or similiar soon and just wanted to know

that it would be ok on my car... i dont really want it

bad enough to start messing with the car too much...
