how often do you change your EQ settings?

I am always adjusting the EQ.....I have the EQ screen almostall the time....go thru a remote battery every 2 months
i nearly run off the road every day, setting the EQ to flat is supposed to make everything sound good. But not with my system.

I think you're confusing a flat response on an RTA with a flat EQ setting.

An EQ is much more valuable in attenuating frequencies; boosting them can create more problems.

As far as adjusting one...initially, all the time. Setting an EQ, as well as crossover points, can be very time-consuming. But once it's set, it's set...

I hooked an old school Advent dual band EQ with BBE processor up to my Pioneer AVIC Z1 today in my F150...It made a world of difference.....
I miss my old Alpine CDA-7941 that had a built in BBE sonic maximizer:( At least a friend of mine was able to get it fixed and use it himself.
