flat sounds like ***

I have mine set to flat except for the 6khz+ attentuated -1 or -2db. Boosting the signal sounds like *** to me, especially at high volumes...the high volume really shows how out of whack the frequency response is, since it's harder to detect at lower volumes.

My dad has certain areas boosted 5-7db and he insists it sounds so much better than what I have going in my truck...I'm convinced he's on crack.

Really depends on the actual speakers, install and vehicle they are installed in . All those factors will play a role in how the EQ is set . And of course personal preference

I don't have any EQing done to my mids(besides TA and overall level matching). On my highs I have(I think) 6khz at -1db, 10khz at -1db, and 15khz at -2db...helps make things less harsh at really high volumes.

i don't know what frequency to put the highs and mids to though. I was thinking 500 for the mids and 10k for the highs. Is that about right?
