I don't think your port wall is in the correct spot; It looks like the wall is too far back.

You should also sand off all the caulking/glue from the tops of the sides before putting on the top baffle.

Eh, so long as everything lines up correctly, what the inside of the box looks like matters very little.

However, I would suggest taking your time at it, make sure youo get everything measured correctly, and lined up the way it should be. Def get rid of anything excess on top that could create gaps, or weak spots further down the road. Are you gonna carpet the outside or anything? Or just go with bare mdf?
