how my 12inch ported box its half done!!

why should i sand off all the caulking/glue from the tops of the sides before putting on the top baffle.?? its looking staright its my 1st box.
Wood glue is a chemical bond; It reacts with the wood fibers to create a joint that is stronger than the wood itself. Wood glue won't bond to cured wood glue or caulking.

This will also level out your mounting surface so you won't have any gaps.

i was thinking of some cheap fabric from walmart what material should i use that could stick well with that glue that you spray??
I've used the wal-mart carpet. It's pretty easy to use. 3M Super-70 adhesive works pretty well.

super 77 works as well

at walmart get the spray glue in eh fabric section its blue bottle with orange cap.

i got some Grey felt for 4.44 a yard. and did my box this week look at the pic.

it looks nice and was about 15 bucks to do it all. took 2 yard for a 15" box with a port.

measure the box to see how much you need first.

and for the port just cut it out with a razor blade and for the sub i just used scissors and left about half an inch in the hole and sprayed the glue for it to stick.

Durabond spray glue ***** as I've tried it 2 times and it didn't stick worth a crap. 3M is 3x the price, but worth it in this case...

I was thinking the same thing about the glue/caulk spots on the ends, hiding some major splits in the wood. Get all that crap off of there and then when putting on the top use a mixture of sawdust/glue in those areas to fill in the splits in the wood...

In order to answer your question, I would need to know what model (e.g. SW4200, SW7524DVC). Also, are you looking to make a ported box or sealed?
