How much will this thing actually do?

Does anyone think this thing will do 800-1200 RMS? 140 amp fusing..... :]

On paper...

12v x 140A x E = P

12 x 140 x 1 (100% efficient) = 1680W

If the efficiency is greater than 50%, if will produce more than 800W at 12V.

If you have 2 S4 ohm subs why not just wire the pair to 2 ohms.

You can't even wire 2 S4 to 4 ohms anyhow.

Sorry? I got single 4 ohm subs rated at 1000 rms! I have to either buy huge 2 channel amps, buy 500+ dollar monos, or under power my subs. Id rather push subs to max RMS

I have ran quite a bit of amps. Just never really pushed them to max RMS.

Oroin 2250sx? Its pricey but will do the job with no issues.. I got one I might part with..lol

If not then look around for a bit, you will find some nice 2 ch amps for decent prices.

This thing would have to be like 77% effective to push 800 rms. It is only fused at 80 amps.

audiopipe 3000? more expensive but not quite that $500 mark you were talkin about. that amp does full power at 2 ohms bridged so you would even have room to add a sub down the road. it will obviously see 4 ohms bridged with your setup but that sub should see around 1500 watts with it ran like that.

im sure you could find this amp for under $300 shipped fyi. its been a while since ive been in the game but im sure you could.

Cmon now, Lanzar has figured out to put BS max ratings on their amps so they can sell. They have took it a step further with BS fusing so more people will buy it.

I think you guys might be right. lol. Even if it does produce more power, it will def be dirty compared to the Cadence.
