and yeah.. I have a question about the "port length" though.. I never understood where along the port you measure. . .

like straight down the middle? along the outer wall?

 
Well I would be right at the 5cf mark with those dimensions I posted. .

So that means the ports would be really close to the side walls of my trunk. Would that effect output?

 
You should have about 4.5-5 cu. feet, if that's not enough for that driver to perform get rid of it. When doing a bandpass in a trunk car, keep in mind that if you port "through" the rear deck it will sound much better.

 
You need to take into consideration the thickness of the walls and inside baffle. You could cut the airspace down slightly but that would detract from the benefits of the bandpass. Unless you have the dimensions to go bigger then a simple ported box would be a better choice than a compromised 6th order bandpass.
