How many watts should I run to my Skar VVX?

I have a Skar VVX 12 in a 1.834 cubic foot box tuned to 33 hz, only running 400 watts RMS @ 4 ohm to it now, but I'm thinking about buying an audiopipe 1500 watt amp soon

What do you guys think about that amp choice for the skar? If I got it, would it be smart to set the gains to put out ~1000 watts RMS or so? I've heard skars can take 1000 watts RMS daily easily, and even 1200 watts or so for small bits. I don't drive around a whole lot, maybe 20 minutes a day, and I listen to music for half that.

So yeah, how much power should I be running to my Skar with an AP1500?

I just bought a Obsidian 12, there both 600rms underrated... Im going to give mine 750wrms to start, go up if i feel it has the need. I would suggest u go with a better quality 1000 or 1200wrms amp. Mabye a MB quarts 1000 or AQ 1200, since around 1200wrms and up you should do electrical upgrades

Im going to run a memphis PRD1000.1 to mine
