how many watts (rms) can these subs really handle?the alpine type r and the type x.and how much better is the type x?

type r = rated at 500wrms but when properly set up can handle 1kw+ but do not necessarily need it

type x = rated and 1kw and need at least 700w+ to as they are power hungry

what do you mean by better they are two very differnt subs....type r is more of a budget SPL sub while the typem x is simply a power hungry sq sub that can still get pretty loud

it is box dependant also
