I just don't think I play my system loud enough or listen to music with that booming heavy bass. I've been sitting at lights with cops 1 or 2 cars behind me at my normal listening levels and don't get pulled over. But I'm sure my system doesn't get as loud as most of yours.

I got pulled over when I was 17 or so... it was only around 7 o'clock and still light out. I drove a hatchback with 0 tint on the back glass and 4 10s pointed toward it. The cop pulled a U-turn after passing me to pull me over. I instantly switched CDs to The Beatles 1 and tried to play it off like it wasn't me.....
Young + stupid = $35 noise ordinance ticket.
ONLY $35 BUCKS?!!! Jeez...here in Peoria Illinois, a noise ordinance violation use to be $225 for first offenders. Now they raised it to like $350 and they can tow your car. It's ****ed up.

Only once cause I got careless and wasn't payin' attention. She gave me a written warning. I drive with my left hand on the wheel and my right hand holdin' the remote with my finger on the mute button.

I have never been pulled over for it. But the average amount of people that do in one month is around 75 or so here. The cops got extremely strict on it lol.

First offense:

$250 ticket - 3 days license suspended

Second offense:

$350 ticket - one month license suspended

Third offense:

$450 ticket - one year license suspended

Same rules apply for exhaust.

never been pulled over, one time a cop was right beside me driving and i didnt notice and when I looked over he was looking right at me and smiling telling me to turn it up... weird cops here in nebraska

I know often times, the loud stereo is just an excuse to pull you over, especially late night. I lived in Myrtle Beach,SC in Mid 90s and I bet I got pulled over 10-12 times, but never got a noise violation.Just a few seatbelt tickets, improper lights (blue neon), and an improper tranport of passengers. They are really lookin for drugs and drunks. That is unless your local popos decide to institute rediculous cruising and noise ordinance crackdowns that go WAY overboard.

ive never been pulled over for anything while in my truck. in other peoples cars...yeah. but not for a stereo being too loud.

one of my friends had to pay ~$125 for thumping in a grocery store parking lot.

sorry my goal to "bump" is to not piss people off and get my shit stolen. I turn my shit down going into neighborhoods or coming up to red lights. All you have to do is to know when to bump and when not to.
Yeah, exactly. I always turn it down in traffic, or at lights, or in neighborhoods and parking lots etc.

twice, neither time was i slamming annoying *** rap beats or anything though, so i got off with warnings. i imagine they're more likely to write a ticket to the clown driving around wanging lil jon everywhere he goes than they are to someone who gets a little carried away with his boston cd. thats right *****es, i bump them boston joints.

the last time the cop actually sat in my truck and had me turn it up.
