how many people here use bass knobs?

I use my remote gain knob //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
yeah i've heard it called remote gain, remote bass boost, bass controller, ect... wasn't sure what it actually controlled myself...

i have one and its not a bass boost knob, more of a gain knob that u can lower after u set ur gains right on the amp. very useful when u dont want too much bass.

There's a rather large difference between a remote gain knob and a bass boost knob. A remote gain allows you to attenuate the gain set at the amplifier only. Bass boost is a form of EQ that literally boosts frequency response at a given frequency and lowers the crest factor/increases the average power around that frequency.

Thanks, sold it to some kid from school.

I didn't bother telling him how much I REALLY paid for 2 maw 15"s and a refurd t10001bd //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

I use mine and I am 35, been groundpoinding since the 80's, lol. Honestly I never get tired of it but I do get head aches and recently migranes but makes me happy. I no longer need bass boost because my sh!t is louder than it really needs to be plus I paid $800 for my sub so I really like not to cook it. Here is what I posted on the Bass Knob, honestly if it is a remote gain everyone should be using one to normalize music... Polo..

When people say "Bass knob" 99% of the time they are talking about a gain-attenuating device, it has absolutely nothing to do with bass boost. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen an amp that actually came with a remote bass boost knob, maybe you can buy generic ones, either way they aren't common at all. Some people just don't understand the slight difference in terminology that make a huge difference.

*doesnt raise hand*
