how many people here use bass knobs?

i never have until i threw together a temporary setup with a MT 15 and my mm3000.1... i've always been under the impression that it only adjusts the bass boost and i always have mine off since i hate that fake, peaky distorted bass it gives you. well i was playing around with it and it's actually a lot of fun... i can have the mids and highs cranked with only a little bass, then just surprise the hell out of someone by cranking it up. it doesn't distort it at all either or make it peak for certain notes... it's really just like a bass on/off knob at least for my autotek... real helpful if you see cops or don't want to annoy other cars at red lights too...

I don't, but I have considered it since I really do not get the higher bass notes. I would do it in hopes that it would increase those notes that my sub lacks on.

i got a bass knob under my steering wheel. i always use the bass knob. It depends what song im on though. Some songs have really low bass and turning up the bass on the knob really makes it a lot lower and louder. Some songs have more high pitched bass and i dont use it all.

I love the bass knob!

a lot of people think bass knobs just increase bass boost when in fact most of the time they do nothing other than attenuate the gain. the knob at max will be equivalent to what you set the gain at on the amp and it can not go any further and will not have any effect on bass boost. I miss having a bas knob, they realy are nice sometimes

i use mine all the time..dont really like groundpounding anymore..so when a song comes on ill adjust it to sounding good or however loud i want it to be at the time.

or when cops are around. and if you get pulled over you can crank it up with the bass off and be like officer its not hooked up yet it wasnt me you were hearing

even when i turn the bass knob all the way down, i still have significant bass, i guess its cuz i dont have a deck or something.

That happend to me once tho, i got pulled over for speeding and almost got a ticket for speeding, music too loud, not having my license on me, and not having my insurance on me. i got off tho with a warning. coolest thing ever! ive never been that lucky b4. would have gotten a ticket for not wearing seat belt too but i slipped that on b4 he got to the car lol

yeah..im 19 now..only took a year of "groundpounding" to get sick of it
