how do you tell how many ohms you are running? i have two awc12t audiobahn 12s and ont he voice coils i ran a wire from positive to one side to neg on the other and then a neg to neg on my amp and a pos to pos to my amp..i did this with both subs and was wonderin how many ohms im runnin or artleas how to tell how many you are running...also i have a p3001 and was wodnerin what would be the best way to wire them for the most power..

If I read your post correctly (not sure that I did), you have each DVC sub wired in series. The subs are 4 ohms for each voice coil, so the resistance for each sub is 8 ohms. Wiring them in parallel (Connect the positive terminal from the amp to one pos terminal on the sub. Then use another piece of wire to connect that pos terminal to the other pos terminal on the other voice coil. Do this for the neg terminals too). This would give you 2 ohms and more power from your amp. But you need to ensure that your amp is stable at 2 ohms (check your manual).

ok so i cant find anywhere that says weather its 2 ohm stable or not but i did find a pic sayin with 2 speaker wiring and it shows two susb and it says "4 ohm min" and under it it says 1 speaker wiring and it shows a sub with "2ohm min" and it says somwhere else 2 ohm load mono 300 watts x 1 ........so would it still be ok for me to just take a wire from the neg on one side of the sub to teh neg on my amp and the pos the same way? how much more power would i get...and also would bridging them do anything? if you get a chance IM me on aim at partyboyy769
