How many 9kv.2 subs for boom boom?

It's a long story but suffice to say that I have 6 9kv.2 subs (dual 4 ohm) that I am thinking of installing in my truck. Originally I was going to use the EU-700s instead but they did not have the VC config that I wanted so ED hooked me up with the bigger subs at the same cost (Thanks ED!). My issue is this... SPACE

Basically I have very little room to fit subs behind my rear seat. The dimensions are 56"long, 13" high and 8.5" inches deep bottom, tapering to 6.5" at the top. I will be powering these with an ED 9.1.

The question:

How many subs should I run? I have enough space to run all six but they will have to be in a sealed enclosure. Any other ideas of how many and why?

I am currently running 2 shallow Pioneer subs with 420rms and it is not enough... Well it is but I want more at times.

Thanks for any input...

Run all 6 sealed or 4 ported maybe (if impedance is right). Both of those will probably be similar in loudness.

Sweet. I am going with all 6 and see what happens, I figure I can always try different configs with that many speakers. After all, its just wood, and that is cheap!

With half inch MDF, it's like 4.27cu/ft internally not including sub and port displacement. That's like 3.5 to 3.8cu/ft after displacement. You...
