How many 12''s?

Well I already have a single 12 JL w1v2..

I want more bass. I was looking at some Kicker 15''s but I decided I rather just have a bunch of midsize ones.

But I cant decided to go with 2, 3 or 4. This'll be for daily driving and it will all be sealed and in a trunk.

I think two is too average. So thats why I was thinking three. But really I have no idea. And maybe because its such a mid level sub; and I want to impress when im able too; that I should get four. You know.. Just incase I want that extra bump.

I dont really know where I stand.

Just could I get some thoughts?

3 subs give you a weird impedance... 4 = too big of a box... 2 is your best bet... and may i suggest type r 12"s //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

@jeepintn

thanks for the offer but this wont happen for a good month.

@Trey803

im 16.. i still need gas money lol w7's are too much $$$ for me now

@psych0ticnemes1

Well being that i already have a 12w1v2 i dont wanna get two other subs and sell this one. id just rather involve my current one - less of a headache. lol

but 3 subs would create an odd impendace, but its not impossible to amp up right?

are you sure 4 is too big even sealed? because indivdual boxes wouldnt be. just judging from my current one.

or two ported would be my best bet?

you cant just mix subs if thats what you are thinking.....it cancels our sound frequency's and will sound bad.

as long as the total impedance isn't below the rated impedance rating of the amp, it'll be fine

a 1 ohm stable amp can run at 1 ohm, 1.1 ohm, 1.4829898710973409872 ohms if you want

just so long as it's not lower than 1, it'll be fine

MOST 1 ohm stable amps can run below 1 ohm, too

most voicecoil impedances are lower than nominal, anyways

a 4 ohm voicecoil is usually between 3.5-4

I would suggest 2 12" Alpine Type R's as well if your on a budget...will get very loud if you want them to, however they like big boxes and a ton of power, but there are cheap ways of doing this. What I have is pretty much the smallest box and lowest budget way of doing Type R's the right way. I would also suggest the AA Arsenals or Assassin's.
