how many 100a anl in line fuses

i am starting my install this weekend and i bought 2 kicker wirng kits for both of my alpine amps one amp is 1000W rms x1 and the other for my highs and mids is 125rms x4 my question is each kit came with (1) 100 amp anl in line fuse . so i have 2 of these fuses my question is should i use them both? i only have 1 battery in my car can i use them both or should i just use one of them? and help is appreciatd guys

Using both would still only leave you with 100A of protection.. So just use one..

Seeing as you are using 2 amplifiers, and have two wiring kits, are you running a power wire for each amp? If you have two wires, use one fuse for each wire. However, depending on the size of the wire, if you are using just one run of power wire, use a single fuse. (hopefully a distro block is in the rear)

What you should do is look at the built in fuses on each amp. See the total amps the system needs. A single 100 amp anl is probably enough, but you never know. My JL 1000/1 would draw over 100amps, which was pretty scary. You want to make sure that if one amp has 2 40 amps fuses and the other has 1 40 then a 100 might causes it to shut off prematurely. Make sure your wiring can also handle the power load.

the kits came with 2 distro bloxks and each kit came with there own 100amp in line fuse . the wire size is 4 gauge wire. should i run 2 power wires one for each amp? or should i run jsut one wire and get a bigger fuse? also can i just pick up a new street wires 200amp in line fuse or do i need a new fuse holder? one lat thing each of my amps have (4) 20amp fuses in them totaling (8) 20 amp fuses between the two amps what should i do guys .what ever you recomend i will do so i can do it right the first time!
