What manufacturer do you guys consider the lowest quality gear you would use?

No Boss or Legacy stuff just quality manufacturer.

Not talking price to determine what is low quality but actual hands on experience.

If ya wanted to build a system and use the same manufacturer for subs and amps who would ya start with?

Just curious

A low-quality setup and a starting setup are two completely different things.

The worst company I've ever had actual hands-on experience with was probably Pyle.

Now, whether I'd use them or not..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Anything from the Anaba group is garbage, unless you're talking 4kw amps...then they're moderately sub-par.

Pyle once made some really badass subs back in the mid 90's....their shit is...well..shit since then.

I was thinking around Pioneer as well. Maybe a few PA products.

But I wont use Kicker amps - had a bad run with them (just me though)

lowest i could do would probably be new ppi/soundstream amps and vibe, vega, maybe ap something kinda mainstream but still not horrible on subs, and something like lower polk or powerbass on mids

I am currently running Opti's - cant complain but the dust caps are glued on crooked. Ran a set of Max pro 12's and all sorts of build issues (glue, magnet alignment - coils rubbing and surrounds tearing while powered under rms)- Opti series would be the lowest here for me.

The HiFonics amps are around 10y old and on 3rd install with no issues (survived a direct short with fire @ batteries - good ol days) - wont hesitate to use their mono amps (had a 2CH die on me though)

The Quart lasted about 4 months running 2 ohm on all 4 channels / Will have to see if it is the amp or something else but this may be it for the Quarts for me. On the other hand I am running a Quart 15 that the leads burned off of (repaired and running like a champ)

My brother has a 2ch PA amp of mine that is ~15y old and using it on his Home theater sub. I would try out more of their products

Have a JL 15w0 that is around 15y old and looks its age but I can put it in a box and still do rms and sound great. If I can afford it I will use more of their products.

2 channels on my ONX4.125 quit working today so thats what got me curious. I would consider a product that is still working 10 to 15 years down the road to be a quality product. Guess it would depend on how it is used though.
