How loud can 12s actually get?

I'm pretty sure i'm hitting in the 140s with 1 12" on 1200+ in a trunk car. I was told at least 140 so i don't know.

The 12" sealed isn't going to do mid 140's in a standard trunk car. 'Might want to cross that one off your list. The ported 15" option gets my vote for your mid 140's quest.

When I was saying sealed, I meant that the sub would be firing forward and I would seal the sound off from the trunk. The box would be ported. It would be like a blow through. Not a sealed box

I'm new to the sport so i'm sure you have better but still Having the state usaci record with that set up is good enough for me.

not sure what my sonix fx and 1500.1 were hitting...in a jeep liberty in 2.5 @38 but it had to be low 40's. chaunch said the same setup hit mid 40's in his trunk.

I really want that sub, but I'm broke. I would hope this recone for my csx will sound similar to this, but with more low frequency extention

Well I'll see what I can hit with it once I get it! I have a large car, so I can only hope for 140s out of a single 12. I may try to put it in my back deck some kind of way

i hit a 139.xx on the dash with a single type R 12, in a daily driver box. never metered it in a box built for spl. 140 isn't very difficult. upper 140's is.
