How long have you been using your amplifier make\model\time

I've had my Hifonics XXV Maxximus for about a month now and I am loving it.

vibe's are decent budget amps, but the Optidrives built by Zed Audio were built to last a lifetime. The may both say "Lanzar", but the initial quality of the two is VERY different. I've used several of both.

Ya I believe that 1996 was the last year for Lanzar and was purchased by like the Pyramid company not sure what corporation that is. I am just a little curious though maybe some of you professionals can lead me straight here.. I personally don't believe amps are made to same standards as back in the early 90's and I am guessing to make it affordable to everyone. I remember i think that 4 channel amp ran about 900 bucks for 100 watts of power.. (25X4) the opti 50c of course was i think 1300 for 50 watts (25x2) knowing that is kind of a cheater amp.. It was a lot of fun competing back when they used to go by power class at 4 0hms.. most of the time was competing with 0-300 watt class. But if i remember right the big thing that Lanzar was proud of was the 30-volt DC to DC switching power supply they were using. Discrete Fully Complimentary Triple Darlington Output Stages, I know this was 10 years ago but are these kind of like the minimum requirements for todays amplifiers.. Just curious.. I know I tend to ramble a little bit about this old equipment..

i sold most everything that i bought...

i have 2 20.1's and one of them i had for about a year and a half, the other i had for about 7-8 months now...

my wall has been in for over a year, and my subs are about 4 months old.

Alpine F545- 3-4 years.. NO problems

Autotek MM 3000.1, bought 2-3 years used... been using it for a good 3-4 years, so its been about 7 years i'd say. Runnin it at 1 ohm, 3/4gain. never given me problems.. YES

Kicker ZX750.1 for about a year and a half. I listen to rap/bass cd's maybe once a month so I rarely push it. Unless a piece of metal falls on a terminal I see no reason why this thing should die. I had a pre-HD Punch 150 that I used from 1989 to 1999 in my various vehicles. I sold it to a friend in January 2000, and he has been using it since then. The amazing thing is that this amp has NEVER been repaired! I would say that 1989 to 2009 is a pretty good track record, wouldn't you?

Regardless, I want to see these Made in China/Korea/Taiwan/insert Asian country here amplifiers last 20 years without needing repair!

mtx thunder 280-10 or 11 years, gave to a friend and its still going

fusion nv am2500- 1 year so far

bazooka el-1500 class a mono amp-3 years of use and the best $50 amp that i ever bought:wow:

I've been using my modded MTX 1501D for about 4 1/2 years now. I have a friend that I worked with at my previous job who had a American Legacy amp which he had been using for a while and still has it to this day. I met him back in 2002 and he is still using it on his Memphis PR's. My Memphis St1000D is still in use in a friend's car and that amp was purchased back in 2001 I believe.
