Bobbytwonames is back. I wasn't in jail. I was in the hospital. I had a 5 - 10% chance of dying. I was in the hospital for a month and was discharged weighing 139 pounds. I hope everybody is doing well.

I love it! This isn't an old thread. A+ for effort. I have a new perspective on life after my DRESS diagnosis. I also haven't drank for six months. Thanks for the reply. It's good to see that you are still around.

Congrats that’s a great achievement. January made 6 years for me. All my going out drinking money has went into savings.

The DRESS Syndrome hit me about two months after I quit drinking. I had an allergic reaction to a prescription drug called Lamotrigine (Lamectil) that I was only on for three weeks. There isn't a cure. This is what my body looked like in December. I'm sorry if it grosses anybody out.

I need to quit drinking. I at least cut back and don’t do liquor anymore. I currently have guttate psoriasis and it’s not getting better. Doctors have no ideas other than doing expensive treatments I can’t afford. Good to see you back.

Welcome back man. Glad to hear you survived a tragic event. I myself have had a couple eye openers of a 50/50 shot of survival. It deff changes a person mentality. Try to stay as healthy as you can

I stopped drinking in my late 20s pretty much. I may have a 6 pack or a 12 pack once a year if that. Maybe a couple glasses of wine once a month or 3 months?. My addiction is Sweet Lipton Tea. if im not careful.. I can drink a gallon a day, but try to do a min of two 16oz glasses a day.

I was never a liquor drinker. I was a 6 - 18 beers a day for about 15 years. I had brief periods of sobriety that lasted a few months. I lost fifty pounds when I was 49 years old when I hit the gym and ate organic on a program called Arbonne. I went from 235 pounds to 185 pounds in 90 days. I was on the treadmill at least an hour per day. I don't crave alcohol or miss it. I didn't quit because of any legal problems either. My daughter got on my *** one day last year and that was enough for me. You can quit man. You just have to be ready to win that battle.

Thanks man! December was the toughest month of my life. I had my blood work done almost daily, CAT scans, ultrasounds, and a 24 hour heart monitor. I was put on oxygen in the hospital and sent home with an oxygen machine. I couldn't do a "girl" push up when I left the hospital. I still have to get my bloodwork done to keep an eye on my organs. My bloodwork is monitored by my infectious disease Doctor. Please don't feel sorry for me. I'm just sharing my story with you guys. This is a before and after shot. The before shot was about a year and a half ago. The after shot was about two weeks ago. I don't care if people see what I look like. I'm 55 years old.
