How Hard Is It To Install 5.25 Components?

i have no idea how to hook up 5.25 components.. are they worth spedin the extra 20-30 dollas for or jus get full-range for cheaper. (diamond audio D6 5.25 in mind)

asuming your vehicle alrady has a stock tweeter, it's generally pretty easy:

Mount mid

Mount tweeter (you can play with new locations, but that may make the install harder)

Mount crossover behind a kick panels the norm, but in the door will work

Wire it up

If you don't have a stock tweeter and arn't willing to cut, a coaxial speaker is right for you.

well cuttin isnt the first thing i really want to do... and its a 95 monte.. not sure if theres a tweeter... but how big of a difference really would there be between full-range and components?

I like to run all the wire first, then mount the mid and tweeter, decide on a final position for the crossover and connect everything up.

And don't put the crossover in the door that gets loads of water in it and leads to rusting out the crossover...... If it is on the interior side of a sealed vapour barrier that is another story, but in the door itself, not good.
