How does an RE SE compare to

se's are ultra nice subs, in all categories. If you heard the g2's, and liked them, then just go with those, at least that way you know what your getting.

Boston has some good stuff , I love the G5 12's great subs for SQL an SQ . I havent heard the G2's yet but if your impressed with those look into G5's if possible.

Ok noob. Go hop in your little red car and drive somewhere...

noob?!?!? haha, dude, you might want to wait till you've been here more than 5 months post whoring it up before you start calling other people noobs.....

and you might wanna fix that little comment of yours to fast instead of little, and cars, instead of car.

BUT, back on track, if anyone has anymore input on the differences between the two subs I'd like to hear it, thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

and i'll check out the G5. They just sounded so great when I heard 'em.... they were clean, crisp... everything I want in a sub. Shit, maybe I'll just buy 'em instead. We'll see.

SE will walk all over the G2s

if money isnt a issue look into the G5s as well..

Depends totally on install and what your after. Here is my experience with both since I owned both.

SE will go way deeper into the low end than the G2

SE will tend to be boomier than the G2 in certain freqs

G2 will have overall better SQ than the SE

SE will own the G2 ported

SE loves bigger boxes where the G2 likes em smaller

2.8 tuned to 30hz will make a SE12 jaw dropping check my vids on realm

SE will handle more power than the G2

SE will move more air than a G2

ummm I guess im saying I like the SE LOL //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

but end all be all, what sub is higher bang for the buck? SE is what, like $150~170 shipped NIB from RE? and the G2 is like 100~150 on ebay shipped?

re will get louder (with RMS watts), take more power, and do better in a ported box, with 86.1db 1w\1m the SE is less efficent

g2 will be quieter (with RMS watts), take less power, and do better in a sealed box, with 93.4db 1w\1m the G2 is more efficent

what is more important to you? eaither is a great speaker, what do you desire more? i think you would be able to do two G212's in a sealed box off 600~800w(@1 or 4ohm?), or a single 12SE in a ported box with 600~800w(@2ohm) and be about the same output, the SE would hit the lows and be better with rap, the G2's would be better all around.

take your pick //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Well, I'm going to be putting this in the back of my Supra in a fiberglass enclosure, I don't know how well I'd be able to do a ported enclosure... I was going to do sealed because that's what I'm good at //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

but thank you for your input, that'll be a big help //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I'll see what G5 runs too
