how do u run ur ground

Deck to front battery.

I have 2 runs from the front batt to frame. 2 runs from the rear batt in the line to the same frame(rail).

Amps all will be ground to the same post in the rear, on frame.

why?

path of least resistance?

what kind of run from the front, to the back noah>?
Yup, I bought 200ft. of Kicker Hyperflex 1/0, and wanted to re-do my wiring. I'll have three fused runs of 1/0 from the front battery to the back battery, as well as 2-3runs from my alternato to my front battery.

My HU is grounded through the factory ground in the OEM harness.

Everything else is grounded via a weld to my spare tire mounting bracket underneath my trunk floor which then feeds a distro that everything needing ground connection runs to.

I have no inducted noise of any kind so I reckon it's working okay //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

My Alt is grounded to the body and the frame

my batterr is grounded to both

my amp is grounded to both the body and the frame

when i do my SPL install i will also run a ground back to the battery and another (+) to the amp...voltage drop hurts power on unregulated supplies.

wrong, path of least resistance...if you have a 10ft run of 1/0 that is 0.001ohms (if memory serves)

the resistance of the frame can be alot higher than that. say 0.02ohms. Under daily situations and smaller current draws 0.02ohms isnt a big deal. When you are chasing tenths on the mic or drawing hundreds of amps 0.02ohms can become an issue.

If you have a run of 0/1 and the frame your total resistance is only a mere 0.00095ohms... that is 21 times more conductive than just the frame //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Haha, no not yet. The red one is getting a cage soon though.

I just meant that there's nothing wrong with uni-body vehicles, as long as you know what you're doing.
