Aww Skeet Skeet!!
RF

Kenwood

Audiobahn

MTX

JBL

Lightning Audio

Cerwin Vega

Lanzar

I want to know how people HERE think about these amps. I dont want to goto a website that gives some stupid reviews. Which one out of all of those is the best. I know Alpine makes the best amp but I want to know who makes the best amps out of that list. Im thinking of getting a 350 to 500 watt rms mono amp to power one 15" JL Audio sub.

Cerwin Vega makes amps? News to me.

Must be a newb if you said Alpine makes the best amps. Their amps are nice, but not that nice. There is no such thing as the *best* amp.

Out of those choices, I would only use RF, MTX or JBL.

Now how about this, what is your price range?

OK, this is only my personal opinion...

RF=good power

Kenwood=not me

Audiobahn=Audiobomb //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

MTX=Power House

JBL=Good for the money

Lightnimg audio=paper weight

Vega=good question

Lanzar=crap...

but thats just me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I heard Alpine made some **** good amps. Very durable and powerful, yet underated. The highest I will pay for an amp is 300 bones. I found a decent MTX amp at circuit city for about 200. I forgot the RMS but it was pretty good. If I can get 4 people to tell me that MTX makes some nice amps then I will THINK about getting one. I am still sold on Alpine though. Very high quality amp I do think. Also...how does Infinity rate? My friend has one and it does pretty good I think.

I own alpine amps, they are very good amps but not **** good amps. Want a **** good amp then go us amps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

alpines are decent amps, but far from brax, mcintosh, zapco, etc...

My brother's got a newer mtx amp for sale bought from CC. Selling for $250, bought new for a little over $500. Does I believe around 960 @ 4 ohm mono. or 480 x 2 @ 2 ohm stereo.

It's the one that accepts 0 ga. and requires an 150 amp fuse...

He replaced it with the Infinity 1210a. Which both are awesome amps.

Edit* amp is the 940 series and does of course 940 watts rms.(birthsheet was slightly more though)

Well...I am still sold on Alpine. I just had a friend tell me that they will last you forever. I might just get a Alpine amp for my 2 front 6 1/2's and an MTX amp for the subs. But I want my MTX amp to last me at least 10 years. I just want power and reliability for a good price.

lightning was made my RF no?

audiobahn amps are a lot better than anything else they make and they're not overrated whatsoever.

alpine's are just a lil overpriced (it's what happens when you're mainstream)

out of those i'd probably use an mtx...

Rockford = Pretty good overall, can be expensive

Kenwood (2004 eXcelons) = Nice features and underrated, but expensive

Audiobahn = A little pricey for what you get, too much chrome and not underrated

MTX = Nice amps overall, not the most efficient in the world, but that's ok

JBL = Good budget amps

Lightning Audio = Dunno about their higher end stuff, but the low end stuff isn't impressive

Cerwin Vega = Dunno

Lanzar = Vibe series is a good budget amp, but slightly overrated, Opti series is much better and underrated

Alpine = Pretty nice amps, not the best, but pretty nice...can be expensive for the power you get

Buy online and you won't have to worry about paying too much. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

on ur list...

my choices in order

mtx

lightning audio...yeah, the stryke series is badass

rf..they own LA, but are designed by different ppl

jbl and alpine tied

lanzar opti drives only

the rest are junk

but don't doubt mtx...awesome stuff...the best? well, that's a matter of opinion..i prefer memphis and orion...if i had the money..brax, mcintosh and zapco

and don't doubt the new LA stuff...at least the stuff u can get in a true audio store

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/peace.gif.2db28b618ed8d1964ebbe2f5021d2c39.gif
