I have a Alpine 9815 HU, diamond m3 subs, hifonics amp to power the subs. I want to run my old Rockford fosgate to my coaxials for my highs. I have a distibution block and the extra wires. So what do I need to do?
run RCA's to the amp, run wires from the amp to the speakers, power the amp with a B+, G, and a remote wire. adjust the gains until youre happy, call it a day and open a beer.
if you're wondering about how to get the sound to it, you'll need an amp that has pass-through RCA outputs so that you can run the RCAs to one amp and then from that amp to the other amp. If you don't have that feature available, you may be able to get away with using a 2nd set of line-level outputs from your head unit. If you don't have that option available, you could either run speaker wire to the speaker wire inputs on the amp from your head unit, OR you could be a ghetto and run an RCA splitter to get to both amps.
