How do i install a second amp for my subs?

okay so right now i have (2) 15" l7 by kicker. as of now, i have only (1) wired to a kicker kx 1200.1 amp. 4gauge wires for battery and ground. 8gauge for subs-to-amp.

i already have another kx 1200.1 as of today. how do i connect it individually(not strapped to the other amp) or would it be better if i strapped them together?

what vc config are your subs, and just so you know youll probably need to do some electrical upgrades for 2400rms if you havent done it already.

big 3 and main power run in 1/0, a couple group 31 batts in the back and possibly a high output alternator, depending on what yours is from the factory.

that said, what voice coil configuration are the subs?

If you do not strap the amps, you will want to make sure the match the gains with a dmm so that each sub is receiving the same amount of power, otherwise they will hit slightly out of phase and cause a bunch of cancellation.
