How do i hook this sub up?

I have a 15in Memphis power ref dvc 4 0hm. I want to hook it up to a 1000 watt sony xplode. how do i wire the sub to get the right ohm load for that amp?

2 channel of 1 channel amp? i it is a 2 channel amp hook up each coil to each channel.

to test it run 2 wires from the terminals to the nearest wall socket.. if it lights up.. its good
