front coaxials fart when powered off!

It's not a loud knocking, it's a slow screech?
It's probably a loose ground (assuming your coaxials are powered by amps.)
yeah more of a slow screech, like releasing presure....urrgggggg...like that..I will check my connections...and yes they are powered by an amp, but none of my other speakers do it:confused:

if it sounds anything like my farts, it seems like something (a capacitor) is discharging. try to fugure out what component is introducing it into the signal. unplug the RCAs at the amp first...if it stops the noise is being fed into the amplifier by the headunit/eq/line driver/whatever before the amp. if not, try switching the wires on the amp so the coaxs are on known good channels. keep going "down river" in the signal path 'til it's isolated.

Sounds like a faulty cap(s) in your amp... but I'm not an amp expert.

ohhh great my sax 100.4 warranty just went up...wtf, if so, than this is why I stick to old school equipment...have had a problem with any of my ppi equipment b4.

is a cap an easy fix...or nothin to worry about...ghey

also if I unplus my rca's than how will I find out if there is sound. the rca's will give the speaker signal correct, or will the remote wire still run power to the speakers to maybe produce the same noise.

so if I unplug the rca's, and it still does it than it should be my deck or equilizing correct?

btw the sound doesn't happen when the cd player's volume is on 0, not sure if that means anything....plus its only my front speakers that do it..

oh and great if I run my ppi pc4400 off my sax 100.4, and connect the 2 with rca's, will it affect the sound with the ppi too?

Unplug the front RCA's... turn off the car. If it doesn't do it, plug in the rear RCAs to the front. Start it up and turn if off... if it doesn't do it, it's either your RCA's or Head unit.
