how do i enter the code into a kenwood KDC-X959 deck?

Just brought a deck from a buddy, have the code...but after i enter the numbers what do i press?

i tried to hold down [>>] for 3 sec but that turns its off....also tried disp butto for 3sec..

anyone know?

I have the manual right here. It says you have to RE-ENTER the security code. It says to push the >> button down for 3 sec, then RE-ENTER the security code, then push >> for 3 seconds. Then it should display APPROVED.

btw, this is an awesome HU, Kenwood did a great job on this one.
