How do I check what ohm a speaker is?

A friend recently gave my son a couple of old school subs,but,we have no idea what ohm they are.How do I use a voltmeter to check?Is it possible to check with a voltmeter?

What sub(s) did he get? Yes use a DMM to check.

yes,that was a dumb question,I asked it before I left work and thought,wow,that was a dumb question.About a month ago he was given 2 Earthquake 15s....well,yesterday as my friend was cleaning out the garage he found 2 more 15s.They are Annihiator 15".Not sure,but I think these take a HUGE box.The pair he brought out yesterday were in a box somewhere around 4' for both.I used the Autosound 2000 disc and they couldnt play any not below 100hz for crap.But,I still have no idea of where to start for a box and cannot find anything online about the subs.

Upload them to photobucket.com (or your favorite image hosting site), then either use the code they give you that has the [ IMG ] tags on it or use the direct link and when you go to put in a post just click the little icon that looks like a picture (if you hover over it, it says "Insert Image" it's inbetween the earth with a link and the video reel). Then when the box comes up just paste your direct link into it and hit ok, it will put the image brackets on it for you.
