my job sucks! i get overpaid for doing nothing and calling the shots! hate it!!!!

#30, love my job.that list is a bit whack though. Petroleum geos make every bit as much as petroleum engineers, often more.

i'm surprised the computer guys are ranked so high. guess the ones they surveyed must all work with macs

you dont know anything about me..ive had 4 interviews this week and three last week. professional resumes and all. associates of applied science degree and only looking for jobs that dont require much. i have had several call backs and everytime i check in, they've hired someone else.
I went to an interview this morning at 10AM to be a truck driver/warehouse worker for an electric supply company. he said he has had over 120 apps turned in over the last 2 days. the economy is hard man.

First of all, an associates degree isn't worth dick. Second off try not to let your flakiness or shitty personality show through and perhaps you will have a chance in hell at a job.

The rating system is way off. I tripled this income this past year, and the hours are hilarious. I work 12hrs a day, and usually my days off also. It's a relatively high stress job, but I love it, and couldnt imagine doing anything else.

The unfortunate truth is that who you know trumps degrees, and all that bullshit. If you know the right person you can get hired even in an economic downturn. I read a study somewhere recently it said only 65% of jobs in the US are advertised, the remaining 35% are filled by the good 'ol boy system. Whether this is true or not is debatable, but I have seen it happen time and time again. Good luck by the way
