how bad is your job??

The unfortunate truth is that who you know trumps degrees, and all that bullshit. If you know the right person you can get hired even in an economic downturn. I read a study somewhere recently it said only 65% of jobs in the US are advertised, the remaining 35% are filled by the good 'ol boy system. Whether this is true or not is debatable, but I have seen it happen time and time again. Good luck by the way
Cold a degree might get you further, warm, experience and the good ol boy network will probably win out.

Unfortunately when all your good ol boys are out of jobs too this doesn't work anymore //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Read an article the other day that said college degree jobs recently quit outpacing high school degree jobs for salary growth...

i have *** at my job and get away with it, it's great!!

At one of my past jobs I had to fire a guy when I found out he did coke/weed at work, smoked in the bathrooms, and brought a ********** into work christmas eve to bang on a conference room table.

The best part was when he acted all suprised and asked why he was being fired when I let him go //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I am a Computer Tech for a few car dealerships downriver and people all around my area. I do shit right the first time and I am quick as hell. Allow people to call me 24/7. I always call them back give them phone support. They usually pay me more if I do have to come back //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I think the reason I'm ranked so high, is people refer to old people. Who.

1. Doubt I know what I am talking about because Im young

2. Are anal about everything because me touching their computer means I can steal their information or some shit.

3. Question me and watch me during the whole entire process asking me to explain everything I'm doing. I explain it but shit... you don't understand it and dont need to GTFO and let me work.

I find it odd that my Job isn't even listed. I'm a Cellular Field Engineer.

IMO its close to my dream job. My job is very relaxed, I test the Voice/Data capability and record sector limits of my sites. The hardest thing I have to do is respond annoying customer trouble tickets

I have sites spread over a roughly 300 mile radius, which ends up with me driving 2 or 3 hours a day on average.

I bring in about 48k a year, that's not bad for an entry level job.

48k/year in wyoming is awesome

Not bad really considering this economy. Some paperwork, some mental challenge. Frustrations here and there. A little excitement from time to time, good chance every day of seeing something I haven't seen before. It's secure, the pays enough for me to feed myself and still buy something I don't need from time to time. Right now they give me a vehicle to drive so I haven't commuted in my truck in over a year. Between insurance savings, gas, and maintencance that in and of itself is probably worth 5-10 thousand dollars per year.
