i didnt break anything off if thats what your implying...why would i do that?...it was just working fine the other day, i cant even stand being 2 days without bass lol...****, they got me on hold for ever...

There should be absolutely zero repair fee if the amplifier is under manufacturer warranty.

the only thing the guy said was the if i installed it, which i did, then theres a 1 year but 2years if an authorized dealer did...

Im goning to have to wait till tomorrow and see what the warrenty department says, if its some rediculas price, then soildering it myself doesnt seem that bad, except for the part that if i do mess up somehow, than thats $300 down the drain //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

For most repairs, if they charge you, Im going to say it will be around $100 to diagnose it.

That sucks they're going to charge you. Do you have to send it in to be repaired, too? I know kenwood just has a list of authorized repair shops, and you just take it in with your receipt, and they just charge kenwood for the repair.

If they're going to charge you anyways, plus having to ship it, i'd find a local place to do it. I got all 4 channels of my XXv-02A (which i had no warranty on) replaced and benched for $130 including parts. Was the amp new or refurbished?

On the refurbished DEI amps Ive owned, they come with warranty paper that says there is a $15 fee for warranty work, to cover shipping.

Hopefully thats all it is.
