how bad is it 2 mount an amp on the box

I have four Kicker KX1200s mounted to the back of my box for my four DD3515s and I haven't had any problems yet. I also had a Memphis 4KW and a MMATS D3000.05 mounted on the back of my box for my Solo X 18''. None of these boxes flexed though so... either way I haven't had any problems with mounting amps to a box. I probably shouldn't have but...I also mounted an Autotek 1400watt amp to the back of a PRE-FAB box and it hasn't had any problems either.

Ive personally used and mounted 10 or 12 of those very same amps to speaker boxes, with not one single problem.
I worked at a shop that also did repairs and we were always pulling Punch 100's, 200's, 60's, and 40's out of customers vehicles and most of them were vibration related. cracked solder joints, even had some that had the corners of the board were starting to crack. At any given time you could find 8-10 punch amps on the techs shelf.

Weird. Like I said, Ive used many of them, abused them quite badly many times. Never had one fail on me for any reason now that I think about it, let alone vibrations. Just to make sure we are talking about the same amps, and not the newer/cheaper bestbuy sold amps, here are some of mine...

Ive found those amps to be built like tanks. Like I said, Ive used those amps on and offf for... 10 years or so now, most times mounted to a box, never had a vibration problem once.

i don't see why everybody worries about vibrations from mounting an amp on a box. if any vibrations are going to damage the amp, the vibrations from driving the car will. more than likely hitting bumps and potholes will shake your amp more than your box can ever allow it to vibrate, and if an amp can't handle road vibrations, its a shitty amp anyway

Thats the amps I am talkng about, nice collection BTW. I always liked them especially installed together with punch link. Just seen alot of them BER 'd(beyond econimical repair). I am good friends with the tech that worked there with me to this day, and he hates them for the reason I mentioned.

put rubber mounting feet on them if you're worried about vibrations
exactly. Every system I've had has been on the box, until recently, and I've never had a problem. I wouldnt worry about the vibration because an amp should be able to with stand it.
