HOW ARE MY SYSTEMS?

Right:D I have seen some of the worst subs perform great so it is mostly install but take a little more with a crappy sub than maybe a better one.

I was always thought that with subs its like

35% buyers choice

40% installation

25% type of car

I tested my sub in a BMW3.16 / 1997 this weekend and it sounded REAL shitty, bass didnt really left the trunk...

With these later posts, I feel better posting that my truck probably tops out around 100...and that's with the windows up *laughin*. I'm running a Pioneer tape deck, KEH - P4600, made in 1997...Pioneer 6 disc changer behind the seat...Pioneer 3 way 6.5s in the doors, which I'm hoping to hook up to a 100 x 2 amp soon...2 Pioneer 12" subs in a box that was made for a hatchback car so I'm hugging the steering wheel, powered by a Pioneer GM - H44 amp, made in 1995...remember the 44? 2 cooling fans on the side? It's a ****ed nice looking amp in my opinion...And all running in a 1982 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat. And Corsica, I'm currently driving a '92 Corsica, I'm tryin to plan out a mid - ranged system for it myself...All I know is that I have to yank the Alpine tape deck out for a Pioneer cd player...If I could afford Alpine, I'd buy one but...too bad cd is so superior to tapes...the deck has 2 4 volt preouts and a whopping 35 watts x 4 channels, I'd imagine the previous owner of the car spent some good cash on this deck...

Your footnote kinda makes me laugh //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

You should really experience a decent system with two (i heart it on three subs) subs playing Metallica. Personally i'm a huge fan of their music and i cant imagine what to do if i have to listen to it without having the subpowerzzzzz

Imagine your on their concert (or a other metal concert), when they start banging i like the bass of the guitar flowing through my body, same goes for multiple subs in a car on that music... back to the way it should be ! ! !

But hey, thats just my opinion //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

Personally, I find 15s and sometimes even 12s too sloppy for rock music, 10s are just perfect for my ears cause when I hear that double kicker bass drum hit during One I wanna hear boom boom boom not phoom phoom phoom...but maybe it's just cause I'm from a small town and everyone has crappy subs? *Laughin* That's very possible...

Personally, I agree with Baby Tex, I have always used 10 inch subs in most of my setups because I think they work better for all types of music, especially rock, which I am DEFINITELY a big fan of...the only exception I have made has been with Infinity Perfects, but they hit amazingly tight for 12 inch subs

At the close of the day in my shop, I had a man in his early 60's come in with his grandson. The boy wanted to be set up for SPL Contest. After informing the about the cost of extreme car audio, the older man made a ponit that money was not an option!!! Here's the soon to be set:(SUB WISE NOTE: The boy wanted all MTX)

8- RFL 152 15 (MTX 15" woofer with a peak wattage of 4,000)

8-Thunder 81000D (1000 watts @ 2ohms)

These subs are awesome!! They even come with replacement cones and voice coils!

Wow, I wish my grandfather was that enthusiastic about my car audio...they don't appreciate it much!!! What kind of huge ass SUV did that kid have that he could fit 8 MTX RFL's in???? Had to be an SUV with the box volume those things need!

Keep it loud!
