Yea, yer sound is rated in dbs, or decibels...the higher the number of decibels, the louder your system is.
On another note, I just finished doing an install in a '79 Ford F-150...I find it funner to do systems on old vehicles that don't have an install kit readily available, so you pretty much HAVE to grind metal, cut plastic and run wires to make the deck work...the truck I wired today had no radio in it before, and a 17 yr old guy owns it...I don't know HOW he survived without tunes that long, he said that he and his buddies usually sang and hummed while they drove around, so I'd like to think that I added to the quality of their lives today...*Laughing*
