horn Body Install Question

will i affect the sound waves comming out of the throat if i cut the ends of the body off during my install. im going to get the id cd2 mini horns. and the body is too big too fit under the dash of my mustang. so will cutting off of the ends affect it to the point their trash.

im pretty sure thats what everyone does with them, as long as u dont cut into the actual flare

You can cut the mounting flanges of the horn down to fit your install.

Just do not alter the actual mouth (the opening) of the horn.

The flare itself, is the only critical part. Cut that, and you screw up the frequency response and the sound dispersion pattern. But, that flange is pretty much "optional"...
