Is there any way I could hook up a subwoofer to my laptop for music? I was thikning of putting a 19ov.2 in my room. thanks

yes

get a an adapter for your headphones jack, 3.5 to rca's and run it into a plate amp

or

like most of us get an adapter and run it into a receiver with sub out, hook some speakers to the receiver run the sub out of the receiver to a plate amp

most plate amps have built in crossovers, it runs full range, plate amps have built in crossovers

Don't listen to these fools. Just take a headphone wire, splice it, and attach the spliced ends to your voice coils.

Actually, on second thought, pick up a cheap receiver for your mids/highs and a plate amp for the subwoofer. Then get a headphone jack to RCA adapter for the receiver. That's essentially what I'm doing right now.

I am running a headphone jack to RCA input on my receiver (which powers my main r/l) and then using the the subout for signal to my powered sub.......

I forgot about that haha

Even for a while I was using a Aiwa mini stereo (even had tape decks) it was like 50x2 and had a sub out for my plate amp. Worked and was free.
